Common questions, straight answers.

It depends on what the deck needs, so I price per project rather than per slide. A single important presentation and a hundred-slide pitch built overnight are very different jobs. For a rough idea of what things cost, take a look at my pricing page. When you’re ready for a real number, tell me about your project and I’ll come back to you with a price. No calculators, no surprises, just a straight answer once I understand what you’re after.

I’ve written an honest comparison here. The best option is usually somewhere between the two. An agency gives you senior names in the pitch, but your deck often ends up with a single junior designer anyway, wrapped in account managers, handovers and mark-up. A cheap freelancer saves money but may not have done this at a high level. What I offer is the bit in between: a lead designer with sixteen years and big-brand experience, working with you directly, with none of the agency overhead. Almost certainly. Over sixteen years I’ve designed presentations across luxury, finance, pharma, tech, media, retail, property and more, for some of the biggest names in each. If I haven’t worked in your exact sector, I’ve usually worked in one close enough to understand what matters, and chances are I’ve designed for someone you compete with. Tell me what you’re working on and I’ll tell you straight if I’m the right fit.

Not at all. Plenty of the people I work with have never briefed a designer, and it’s genuinely easy. You don’t need a perfect brief or design language, you just need to tell me what the deck is for and who it’s going in front of. I’ll ask the right questions and guide you through the rest. Working with me directly actually makes this simpler, because you’re talking to the person doing the work, not relaying it through someone else.

Fast, when it matters. I came up in agency pitch culture, where the work happens whenever the deadline needs it to, including evenings and weekends. Tight turnarounds and last-minute pitches are normal to me, not a problem to work around. The honest answer depends on the size and complexity of the deck, so tell me your deadline and I’ll tell you what’s realistic.

No. If you have a template or brand guidelines, I’ll work to them to the letter. If you have something rough or inconsistent, I’ll tidy it up as I go. And if you have nothing at all, I can build you a proper template or design individual slides from your existing branding, logo and any inspiration you’ve got. Either way, your deck will come back on-brand and consistent.

PowerPoint is my main tool and I know it inside out, but I’m not limited to it. I also work in Keynote, Google Slides, Canva and more, and beyond slides I design things like video and animation, conference and event collateral and branding. If it’s part of getting your message across, there’s a good chance I can help.

Yes. Some clients, especially agencies and busy in-house teams, need design help regularly rather than one deck at a time. For them I offer ongoing arrangements with reliable access, priority booking and a rate that reflects the commitment. Yes. High-volume, high-stakes decks are my bread and butter, the hundred-slide pitches built to a deadline. For most projects you get me start to finish. For the really big ones, a large rebrand, a huge volume of slides, a tight deadline on a major project, I can bring in a small group of excellent people I’ve worked with for years and trust completely. You still deal with me, I still run it and answer for it. I’ve just got the right hands to call on when a project needs more than one pair.
